On Aug. 14, the Harvey County Planning Commission will hear potential procedural changes to correct oversights regarding regulations previously reviewed. The regulation, regarding a floodwater retarding dam breach impact district, did not previously provide proper notice to landowners affected by the regulation, and was not signed by the Harvey County Commission, when it was discussed in 2007. The regulation relates to ensuring safety for individuals in the breach area of the watershed, and the hearing is meant to fix the oversights. The article can be found here
