The Harvey County Commission set its public holiday schedule for county government facilities at its Nov. 22 meeting.
The Commission approved 11 days of holiday for county employees in 2023. County facilities are generally closed on those holidays, although emergency and essential services will continue to be available.
The holidays for 2023 include:
- New Year's Day, Jan. 2 (observed)
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Jan. 16
- Presidents Day, Feb. 20
- Memorial Day, May 29
- Independence Day, July 4
- Labor Day, Sept. 4
- Veterans Day, Nov. 10
- Thanksgiving holiday break, Nov. 23-24
- Christmas holiday break, Dec. 25-26
County government facilities will also be closed to the public Oct. 9 for the County's annual employee in-service day.
