Harvey County Emergency Management is seeking feedback and suggestions as local agencies update the Kansas Homeland Security Region G Hazard Mitigation Plan.

The survey to participate is available here. The survey is available until Feb. 14.

A working draft of the updated hazard mitigation plan can be viewed here.

The hazard mitigation plan is a document used to identify potential hazards in Harvey County and the region, which includes much of south-central Kansas. Threats can include a wide range of concepts, from naturally occurring to manmade.

Determining the most significant vulnerabilities aids emergency responders in preparing and focusing resources to address them.

The hazard mitigation plan was most recently updated in 2019. It can be viewed here.
