Harvey County Peace Officers Memorial Day ceremony 2024

Today is Peace Officers Memorial Day, a time for us to pause and remember those that gave their lives protecting and serving our community. We held our local ceremony this morning. We appreciate the opportunity to gather among our peers to reflect on those we've lost, and to see the outstanding support we receive from our community. Thank you to all that attended.Photos from Harvey County Sheriff's Office's post ... See moreSee less

Important upcoming road closure and detour information.SE 14th Connector (colloquially known as Beer Can Alley) will be closed to all traffic between Logan and Spencer beginning at 7 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, as the contractor, Pearson Construction, begins work on the new SE 10th Street intersection.

Week two of #maxmondaysinmay, and K-9 Max felt all the love last week and wanted to look FRESH for this week's update.

Max lives at home with Deputy Skyler Hinton. They enjoy their downtime. Max loves the back yard, but always has an itch to be working and testing his skills. Max loves playing fetch, lounging around in nice weather and attacking sprinklers at any opportunity. Skyler does upkeep to ensure Max has a welcoming kennel. Max receives plenty of baths (not including the sprinkler attacks), brushing to keep his hair in check and routinely has his teeth cleaned.

Max is excellent at his job, but he needs and deserves plenty of time to rest and recuperate and win the war against sprinklers. Thanks for checking in for #maxmondaysinmay! You can follow his everyday adventures at K-9 Max.Week two of #MaxMondaysInMay, and K-9 Max felt all the love last week and wanted to look FRESH for this week's update.
