Sanitation Code
Harvey County revised its sanitation code in 2001. The code specifies how domestic water wells and private sewer systems are to be built and maintained. It is the responsibility of the property owner to obtain permits before drilling a private well or to build or modify a sewer system. It is also the responsibility of the landowner to keep their water wells and sewer systems in compliance with the county code.
