Open Burning

Left unauthorized or uncontrolled, open burning can present an extremely dangerous risk for people, the environment, and property. Harvey County Emergency Management is an invaluable resource for questions regarding burning in unincorporated areas of the County. The County has an Open Burning Resolution that describes rules and regulations regarding burns.

Be mindful that individual cities may have their own regulations regarding controlled burns within their jurisdiction. Our fire response district map is available to help determine which entity responds to properties across the County.
