Our mission in the Harvey County Attorney's Office is to promptly and thoroughly enforce the criminal laws of the State of Kansas to ensure and protect the safety of the people of Harvey County. We prosecute for felony offenses committed in Harvey County as well as misdemeanor cases in rural parts of the county.
We are sworn to serve in fairness and in justice. We are always mindful of the needs and rights of victims.
The Harvey County attorney is an elected position. The attorney serves a four-year term. The current attorney is Heather Figger. She was previously appointed, and later elected to fill, the remainder of a term beginning in November of 2022 and running through 2024. Sandra Lessor is the chief deputy attorney, and assistant attorneys include Joseph Baca, Isaac Wright and Kelsey Floyd.
