If a burn ban is imposed by the Harvey County Board of Commissioners due to the dry conditions, no burning is allowed except for burning necessary for crop survival. Such burning must be specifically approved in writing by the fire chief or delegate in the jurisdiction where the burning is taking place. Crop survival is defined as burning that is necessary in preparation for second crop planting.
Barbecue grills and chimineas, etc in developed recreation sites or residential lawns are allowed, unless otherwise stated.
