Serving Harvey and McPherson Counties
COURT SERVICES WITHIN THE 9th JUDICIAL DISTRICT
The 9th Judicial District Court Services is responsible for the supervision of both juvenile and adult offenders in Harvey and McPherson Counties.
In addition to probation supervision, Court Services Officers are tasked with providing a host of additional services at the Courts’ directive. This includes pre-dispositional reports, pre-sentence investigation reports, home studies, domestic investigations, and bond supervision. As well as serving as the Court"s primary referral source to community service providers in the areas of substance abuse and mental health treatment.
Five Court Services Officers, two Deputy Chief Court Services Officers, two Secretaries, one part time Secretary, and a Chief Court Services Officer serve the 9th Judicial District Court.
The Chief Court Services Officer and a Deputy Court Services Officer along with three Court Services Officers and a Secretary are assigned to the Harvey County District Court, with the remaining Court Services staff providing services within McPherson County District Court.
During fiscal year 2008 (July 1, 2007 – June 30, 2008), the 9th Judicial District Court Services provided probation supervision for an average monthly population of 377 offenders and completed a monthly average of 48 formal reports/investigations.
