Maternal and Infant Program

Provides extra support to pregnant women, infants and children

The Maternal and Infant Program is open to any pregnant teen, pregnant woman, infant, or child needing extra support because of financial, medical or social reasons. Our goal is to support healthy birth outcomes by improving health and support services.

  • Client visits are provided by Registered Nurses, Healthy Start Home Visitors or Licensed Social Worker.
  • Services provided include:
    • Visits for pregnant women, new mothers and infants by a Healthy Start Home Visitor
    • Monthly visits for pregnant women or new mother and infant by a Registered nurse
    • Prenatal vitamins at no cost to the client
    • Hemoglobin (iron) checks
    • Blood Pressure checks
    • Nutrition and breastfeeding education provided
    • Information given and referrals made for other services available in the community.
