Emergency Preparedness

Health Department employees coordinate emergency plans with other Harvey County government departments, city governments, area healthcare providers and other south central Kansas health departments so as to respond to any emergency affecting Harvey County and its citizens.

• In the event of an emergency the Health Department may conduct mass medication/vaccination of the citizens of Harvey County.
• If necessary, the Harvey County Health Department will assist other south-central Kansas health departments and agencies with emergency response in their communities.
• The Health Department will educate the citizens of Harvey County on public health issues as the need arises.
